I want to be an entrepreneur. I want to own my own business, Landing With Lo, and want it to grow like wildfire. I want it to stay relative after the takeoff. I want to be inspirational and show that I have what it takes to do exactly what I want. I want. I want.
The problem with what I want is that I have no idea how to get it. I am taking steps with this little blog, but the truth is… I don’t know that it will get me anywhere. I have said before that it’s perfectly alright if my momma is the only one who reads this… and it is alright, but I would like for Landing With Lo to be more than alright. I want it to be big (like bouffant hair from the 60s). I want it to spread to a nationally known (and liked… and respected) lifestyle brand. I want people to know Landing With Lo.
Well how in the world does a small-town, Iowan girl accomplish that? I have no clue. I want Landing With Lo to be happy, honest, empowering, classic, inspiring, trendy, collective, holistic…. and Lauren. I want Landing With Lo to be a clothing line that fits every single body type and style. I want it to be in people’s homes through dish-ware and decor. I want it to be a blog that people read when they want to read something about life, fashion, home, and Jesus.
But as I’ve stated, (and will probably keep repeating) I don’t know how to go about any of that. I can’t draw and I don’t have any design background. But you can bet that my brain is overflowing with clothing ideas. I don’t know anything about making plates or napkins or pictures. But you can bet that I have pages and pages of sketches in my notebooks of color pallets. I don’t know a thing about tuning in to what other people want to read about. But you can bet I’m still here, typing away.
I haven’t told very many people my whole idea for Landing With Lo as a lifestyle brand, (until now and it’s released onto the World Wide Web as soon as I proofread and hit the “publish” button) and those I have told…. well, honestly, they looked at me like I was crazy (which I might be). I could see the doubt in their eyes saying, “Lauren, how in the WORLD are you even going to begin creating something like that?!”
I don’t have the answer. Maybe I’m reaching a little too high. Maybe Landing With Lo will only exist here, in the depths of the internet only to be read by my mom and maybe a friend or two.
I am going to reach anyway, though. I am going to dream this dream and I am going to try my very hardest to make a lifestyle brand out of Landing With Lo. I would love the support of you, though, whoever may be reading this, and if you have any tips (literally ANY) I’ll gladly and thankfully listen!
